Winter’s Last Hurrah?

The last big snow storm hit the day before Valentines Day and we were out in it!  We  booked a stay along with a whole crew of friends at a cabin in western Maryland way back before Elli was born with the goal of a weekend of family fun, and maybe some skiing.  The weatherman was on board and it snowed about 20″ on the day we braved the interstate to get there.

Once safely there we spent Friday at the ski resort and the next two days cross country skiing, sledding, and hiking around the cabins.  The kids had a great time, Elliott got her first sled ride, and everyone took turns preparing tasty meals for the whole group.

I thought it was winter going out with a bang, but is seems I was wrong because we got more snow this week and still more is forecast for this weekend.  I’m not complaining!
