Between big projects (child rearing and building a deck) we have recently completed a few small projects, which feels gratifying. Cheri made a stylish new pair of pants for Elliott from a Made by Rae pattern. She got to try out a few new functions on her new sewing machine including blind hemming and triple zigzag stitch. These were her first attempt at pants and they turned out great! Elli is very happy with them.
This weekend I also completed a pair of table lamps which I turned on the lathe and painted. They were simple to turn but much larger than anything I have had on the lathe before. As a bonus, it saved us from buying very similar ones that were $200 each from a fancy store. It’s good to finally have the wood shop at a production state again.
