Thanksgiving-ish

When is the deadline for a Thanksgiving post?  Probably Kwanza, right?  Ok, good.

Grandma and Grandpa Stader and the dogs came to visit, which the grandkids were very excited for.  We had a nice meal of fried turkey, potato leek gratin, broccoli and sourdough bread.  Cheri had set a goal of making curtains for the dining room before Thanksgiving (2017), so her and Rosemary worked feverishly to complete them just prior to being a year late (but who’s counting).  They turned out great!

The next day we bought and decorated a Christmas tree.

Elliot went on a field trip to the Maryland Science Center with her kindergarten class and Rory is now doing puzzles all by herself. Elliott consumed the last of her halloween candy, thank the lord.

Now we’re working our way through the advent calendar and preparing for Christmas.   This year Santa will be visiting us at home in Maryland for the first time but we will travel to Ohio to celebrate with family immediately following.

Happy Holidays!
