Trick or Treat was pretty fun this year! Unsurprisingly my daughter wanted to be a princess, so Anna was the obvious choice. Keeping with a theme, I put together an Olaf costume for Rory. We went to a friends house nearby to chat and let the kids run around together, then we came back home and to hand out candy. Elli surprised me when she said she was so excited to hand out candy. She did go to a few adjacent houses and we were succeeding in only receiving a moderate amount of candy until Ms. Lauren from across the street dumped half her bowl into Elli’s bag!! Too funny…

It’s nearly impossible to get a picture of all of the kids, but here are most of them.
Here is a photo of Rory at one month old. That month went by fast!

Things are going well here in new-baby-land. Rory is packing on the pounds and sleeping fairly well. Better that Elliott did I think, but it’s hard to remember those days. Last weekend my parents were here and were a great help. We went to the Darlington Apple Festival and Dad and I even worked on building a dining room table.
Yesterday we went to the local orchard to pick apples and pumpkins. Then Elli and I made a pie while Cheri and Rory took a nap. Good times all around.

After RJ’s wedding on Friday, we ventured up north to visit Erin and Jeremy for the weekend. We weren’t 20 miles from the border when I said to Jared “Can we move here?” I seriously love Vermont, especially the cool summer temps, mountains, and overall relaxing atmosphere. While Jared spent sometime looking at real estate, I’m pretty sure it’s all just a fantasy. Pretty sure….
Erin and Jeremy were great hosts and I so wish we lived closer to them. We met their son Abbott for the first time and boy is he adorable! Elli really adored him too. Jared got to enjoy a mountain bike ride with Jeremy, we went blueberry picking, and enjoyed fresh vegetables from their garden and cheese from Erin’s shop. We ate way too much and had a very relaxing time – pretty good vacation if I say so myself.
We again were pretty terrible with capturing the weekend, but did get these two gems.

A few weeks ago we went up to Connecticut to see my cousin RJ get hitched. We had a great visit with family and friends, but we were not very good at taking pictures.
On Thursday we met with my name sake and her husband (no pictures though!) and enjoyed great pizza and a children’s museum. Elli and Brayden had a great time. Elli’s favorite was the Great Green Room (from Goodnight Moon) because there was a bed that she could put the bunny to sleep in. There was even a telephone that connected to another one downstairs and she found herself talking to someone who I’m sure was trying to reach another kid in the room.
From there it was off to dinner and dessert with Uncle Randy and his family (again – no pictures). Elli did a fantastic job keeping it together during the late evening. She took a special liking to Aunt Jen who may or may not have taken food and a plate from the restaurant to lure a cat so Elli could see it!! Hilarious.
RJ’s wedding was fun and the food was AMAZING. It was nice to catch up with my Dad’s family, some of which I hadn’t seen in many, many years.
The Borruso’s – you wouldn’t know that they never sleep – they look fantastic!
